Update: Fiesta San Antonio '09
Saints
What a great time we had! We arrived in San Antonio about 6:15 pm and got ready for a night of preaching, tracting and one on one witnessing. We went right downtown to the intersection of Commerce and St. Mary's and stayed there for the rest of the night. We had many conversations with people from all walks of life and from different religious back grounds.......catholics, muslims, Jews, devil worshippers, atheist, baptist and mexicans.......lots of them! : o
On Saturday we were joined by Mr. Billy and Mr. Jim, both of Alamo City. They brought the cross and walked it down the parade route (almost 3 miles). It was interesting to see how many people were taking pictures of the cross.....hundreds of pictures were being taken and of course we had the scoffers talking their trash as the cross passed by them. It's amazing to be able to witness to so many people just by reminding them of what JESUS did for all of us about 2,000 years ago on the cross. We also tracted the parade route and handed out about 35,000 gospel tracts.
with him, but had no scriptures to back up his point. The whole time the little boy was listening. After the preaching was over the little boy walked up to Mr. Jeff and wanted to make JESUS LORD of his life!!! The little boy was in tears as The HOLY SPIRIT brought conviction on his heart about the sin in his life. It was truly a blessing to see GOD at work.......we had a great time and GOD willing we'll be there again next year!We were blessed to have all our brothers and sisters that came out to share the gospel of JESUS CHRIST on the streets of San Antonio and thanks to Alamo City for giving us a place to sleep and for their prayers and the brothers and sisters in Goree who love us! : ) And also Mr. Brad and Mr. Coree! Miss Juli, Mr. Gabriel.....you guys are a blessing and its always good to fellowship with the brother and sisters.
love you all,
Jose & Amy

Fiesta Mission Trip
Saints~
It’s here again...
San Antonio Fiesta Mission Trip
This year we’re expecting the biggest team ever. This is our 11th Annual Mission Trip to San Antonio. In the past years we have handed out over 100,000 gospel tracts during that weekend. We ask people to come on this trip because we believe in going into all the world to share the Gospel of CHRIST. When you come on this trip you can hand out tracts or talk to people one on one and even pray. That’s right, just standing there and pray for people. An estimated three and a half million people will be there during this fiesta party. We will walk the parade route and hand out tracts to over 200,000 people standing along the parade route. You will be teamed up with people who have experience in street evangelism. We will be leaving on Friday at 1:00 PM and return Sunday at about 6:30 PM.
Thank you and GOD bless your day,

JesusCrew update...
Saints,
Mardi Gras this year was another good mission trip to New Orleans. The LORD always has surprises for us as we go out. On Thursday night when we got there, it was about 10:00 pm and there were many people already partying away, it was actually just getting started. As we were walking by the gay bars on Bourbon Street, I heard someone call my name. I looked around to make sure that I was the Jose they were calling for and as I looked around, this guy walks up to me and gave me a hug. His name was Mr. Jeff.......ok, how do I know this man? Well let me tell you, about 3 years ago I spoke at a conference in Dallas, TX and Mr. Jeff was one of the people who attended.
We talked for a few minutes and he introduced me to a pastor friend of his and they were out there preaching the gospel to the lost. He told me that he had finish reading his bible all the way through! And he was on the way to reading it again!! Which was something I had taught at the conference, is that awesome or what!? We stayed out there a little passed 3:00 am and it seemed like the time just flew by us.......time flies when you're having a great time!
On Friday night, there was a shooting just a block away from where we were standing. Thank GOD for HIS protection and guidance. As we were there talking to the many people who were stopping by, several church goers wanted to know why we were out there.....YES! People were stopping and asking questions.......the most frequent quote were heard out there on Bourbon St. was, "JESUS turned water into wine it's not wrong to drink". These words were quoted over 100 times easy…….
- Drunken Christian: 'Well, Jesus turned water into wine!!'
- Me: 'You are so right, but HE also walked on water! Do you do that, too!'
- Drunken Christian: 'No, because I’m not perfect!'
- Me: 'HE also obeyed GOD the FATHER and kept HIS words and commandments. If you are going to follow JESUS’ example you might as well follow HIM all the way, don’t you think so? I guess you obey JESUS as long as it fits your agenda, huh?'
- Drunken Christian: 'Ok, I don’t want to talk about this anymore.'
- Me: 'Wait, don’t leave yet…….'
There were so many conversations……for about 3 hours straight we had conversations into the morning hours. We left at 4:00 am Saturday morning. I ended up meeting 3 young men that I had witnessed to on Austin’s 6th street about 2 months earlier! GOD has HIS perfect ways, HE makes sure that HE makes these appointments come to pass all the time. Many people often tell us, “Why are you guys wasting your time at Mardi Gras?" What church people don’t understand is that about 90% of the people we talk to on the streets actually grew up in church, but since the church is so boring they tend to go to the world where there’s a lot of excitement and pleasure. It's really sad what we see. These people think in their minds that what they’ve experience in church is all GOD has to offer. Oh, if the churches would only teach the people to read their bibles and be witnesses like the LORD commanded us all as HE departed to Heaven at the end of the gospel of Mark.
On Saturday, there was another shooting and again we thanked GOD for HIS guidance. We were on the intersection of Bourbon St and St. Louis. According to the Police report, 487 people were arrested during the duration of Mardi Gras. On Saturday night, a man came by and he asked……
- Man: 'HEY, YOU'RE FROM ABILENE RIGHT!!!!??'
- Me: 'YES, I AM!'
- Man: 'You aren’t going to believe me, but you talked to me in Abilene at a game room called the Panic Button back in the day!'
- Me: 'Really? What did we talk about?'
- Man: 'JESUS! What in the world are you doing here on Bourbon St. ???'
- Me: 'Talking to people about JESUS!!! Man!!!'
- Man: 'That is amazing! That’s what you were talking about 20 years ago, when I talked to you last.'
- Me: 'This is very amazing to me, too! So, what are you up to now days?'
- Man: 'Just living life man! I see you are still preaching the word!'
- Me: 'What else is better than obeying the LORD!'
- Man: 'I can’t believe this…..'
- Me: 'GOD is still after you man! HE won't stop till you repent and get saved.'
- Man: 'Keep me in your prayers, preacher man…..it’s not looking too good right now.'
- Me: 'I will for sure.' (he gave me a hug and held onto me for a good minute……it made me smile and cry at the same time)
Is that crazy or what!?? That game room is no longer there, but it was a popular hangout back in the late 80’s, early 90’s. GOD has an amazing way of confirming our place to be, I must say! In all, I met 12 people that I had witnessed to before in Texas on Bourbon Street. One of the men I witnessed to on Bourbon St. was from Dallas.
Then we were off to Austin, we ended up handing out about 2,000 gospel tracts and having conversation with well over 200 people! Sharing the gospel to so many people who used to be in church at sometime in their lives………….Austin, 6th Street:
We got there about 10:00 pm and stayed there till 2:00 am, what a night! As soon as we got on the street, the people started stopping by. We handed out about 2,000 gospel tracts there, as well. And you ask, 'How can you get so many people to stop and hear about JESUS?' Well, let me show you! : )

I hold up an eight foot sign that simply says “What If ?”. This sign draws them in by the 100’s every time we go out there. People are just full of curiosity and that's the main reason they stop by! It’s the HOLY SPIRIT that draws them in to hear about repentance, salvation and hope…..and also to be warned of their wicked ways, as it says in the book of Ezekiel 3:18-19 (KJV)
"When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. [19] Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul."
Sin is breaking GOD’s holy law! The 10 commandments!1 John 3:4 (KJV)
"Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law."
Who are you warning? Yes, a lot of people get offended when we’re out there, but that is not the reason we go. We don’t want them to go to hell. We want people to be saved from the wrath that is to come…… "But the day of the LORD will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness. Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of GOD, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?" (2 Peter 3:10-12)
GOD’s judgment is coming and we’re not hearing much about it from the pulpits in the churches today. : ( But, as long as we’re out there they will hear about it, in a loving and caring way. It is a sad thing when so many people who grew in church are now professing atheist and hate the church with a passion. We are in the days when you will have to be all the way with GOD or sit on the fence of compromise and that's where so many are today…not wanting to offend anyone or hurt anyone’s feelings. The church today needs to read the gospels again to see just how many got offended when JESUS ministered……..
Thank you all, who keep us in your prayers and keep supporting us!
We so appreciate your obedience to the LORD!
Love you all,
Jose & Amy

Saints! It's party time, again...
Jose & Amy Muniz
JesusCrew Street MinistryThis weekend we'll be right here in the biggest party place in the world! Mardi Gras at New Orleans, LA.
Please keep us in your prayers as we go and take the gospel of JESUS CHRIST to the darkest places on Bourbon St. Here are a few highlights from last year:
- We got there close to midnight and the party was just getting cranked up.
- A homosexual with purple hair tried to take my Brother Rolando with him.
- We encountered a young lady so drunk that she couldn't walk and was pass out drunk on the sidewalk and 2 of our guys carried her to her car for almost half a mile! Her friend drove, of course.
- We had a man offer us $50,000 to leave Bourbon St. and quit witnessing.
- Our battery died while we were touring the 9th Ward and the closest auto store was over a mile away in a part of New Orleans where the Military police patrolled the area.
- We handed out over 7,000 gospel tracts.
- We prayed with many people throughout the night and had a man from Denver repent. His name was Mr. Danny.
Please pray for our team, for all the people that GOD has already planned for them to cross our path and for favor with the New Orleans Police. Unfortunately, what we do on Bourbon St. is very offensive. Throughout the years we’ve been threatened with arrest for simply sharing the gospel of JESUS CHRIST here in the good ole USA. Also pray for our bodies to endure the long hours we’ll be standing on the streets preaching the gospel. When we get back we’ll be heading south to Austin, TX for Fat Tuesday celebrations on 6th St.
Love you all,
Please keep this mind…JESUS could come back today and if HE does…what will HE find you doing?
